Lenten Series Wednesdays

What is God's will for our lives? What do we mean when we say God's "will". How do we know if it is God's will or ours? We will wrestle with these and other questions on Wednesdays throughout Lent over the lunch hour. Beginning at 12:10 p.m. in the church we will have Noonday Prayers and a reflection from an invited guest. After the service and reflection we head to Margaret Hall for a delicious meal prepared by the ECW. Join us and invite your friends. Let's keep a Holy Lent.

Each Wednesday during Lent St. James hosts a Lenten Speaker Series and Lunch.   We invite a guest preacher to give a homily during a brief Noonday Prayer service in the church beginning at 12:10 pm.  We follow the service with a delicious lunch in Margaret Hall.  Make plans to keep a Holy Lent and attend these lunches.  Many give something up or take something on during the Season of Lent.  We encourage you to "take on" attending the Lenten Speaker Series and Lunch as part of your Lent.  

The theme this year is "Thy Will be Done."  All speakers will address some part of this theme in their homily.  What is God's will for our lives?  How do we know God's will.   What if it is our will and we just tell ourselves it is God's will?
