Epiphany Feast of Lights & Chili Cook-Off
Time & Location
About The Event
We will celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany on January 5, 2020 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the courtyard. We will start with a brief candlelight service with symbolic burning of the green followed by a “Sharing Faith” chili cook-off in the parish hall. This year we are brining back the burning of the green in the field by the Presbyterian Church - save your old Christmas tree and call the church office for pick up. If you would like to enter your recipe and cook some chili, please contact Christy in the church office. This will be a wonderful time of parish fellowship and fun. Please use this opportunity to invite friends, family and neighbors to St. James to experience our church family. The Feast of the Epiphany, also known as the Feast of Lights, celebrates the coming of the Magi/Wise Men and the revelation of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles as represented through the Magi.
